There’s nothing better than packing the car, gathering the crew, and taking off for a weekend camping escape. On the Eyre Peninsula we are extremely lucky to have this opportunity at our back doorstep with some of the most amazing hidden gems in the world on offer.

At a young age, photography became a passion of mine and went hand in hand with the lifestyle we live on the EP. Surfing, fishing, exploring, ESCAPING. It’s what makes us who we are down here.

I’ve worked with different cameras, equipment, medias, printing and framing and at the age of 25, I’m still constantly learning new tricks to the trade. I’ve always been heavily inspired by the legendary Hayden Richards (aka. SA Rips), an amazing land and water photographer also based on the Eyre Peninsula. My list for inspiration could go on and on but this was definitely a key eye opening moment.

I hope with my photography I can bring a similar feel of depth and unique perspective yet leaving the viewer planning their next getaway.

Lastly, I’d like to pay my respects and acknowledgement to the traditional owners of the ancestral lands of the Eyre Peninsula. I am forever appreciative of the area we have grown up in and the connections I have made along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for taking the time to view my work. Any feedback is super helpful so feel free to reach out on Instagram @tyler_vogelgsang
