Drawing inspiration from colours of Eyre Peninsula and Outback, these abstract paintings are inspired by observations of nature and life generally.

In sharp contrast to my ongoing career in sculpture, they stem from a desire to explore ideas and impressions expressed through the simplest of shapes, in colours mixed more by feel than formula, a visceral reflection on life and surroundings.

Having drawn in pencil from a young age, painting is nonetheless relatively new territory for me but one that draws on a background in design through the use of proportions and perspective. Most exciting of all, is a different way of expressing my passion for the natural world and human nature.
