Julie Aldridge

Julie Aldridge is a glass artist from Port Lincoln, South Australia, who specialises in mosaics and fused glass. Julie runs workshops from her home studio and has her pieces for sale in the Nautilus Arts Centre shop.

Where do you currently live?

I live in Port Lincoln.

How long have you been making art?

Most of my life in some form or another.

How has your practice evolved from the beginning to now?

I have done a bit of everything, including lead-lighting and quilting. Once I started mosaics it flowed naturally into teaching.

What do you most enjoy doing in your arts practice?

Exploring new ways of doing things. And I love teaching as I love seeing people who have no confidence finish their first piece. It really brings me joy.
