“It’s bizarre and brilliant; a breathless life story told through disco mime and wide-eyed, giggling buffoonery.” (Fringefeed Perth)
Chameleon is a stirring mash-up of satire, storytelling and physical comedy. With wit, vivacity, and whip-smart intelligence, Britt Plummer draws frankly on experiences of living and loving in small town Australia and the big smoke of Paris to bare escapades both heartfelt and hair-raising.
Joined by a fantastic femme squad of multidisciplinary artists, Chameleon aims to create conversation around universal social issues for women, unite, and celebrate pleasure, liberation and sisterhood.

“Plummer is a serious purveyor of social change intent on achieving her goal with perfected physical comedy”
“Chameleon is imbued with silliness and play that never detracts from the gravity of her topic.”

FRANK. Theatre was founded by performing artist and theatre-maker Britt Plummer in 2018, with an aim to present original work; exploring the human condition with honesty, humour, and heart; where conversations emerge out of the realms of joy and play with the audience. Britt wants to have important conversations in comfortable spaces, where we can laugh, breathe and have a sense of togetherness. She is passionate about nurturing the development of young and emerging artists by providing training in specialist skills in devising new work and physical storytelling, and providing opportunities for performers, collaborators and workshop facilitators. Chameleon aims to delightfully, humorously and shrewdly explore gender and identity through an intersectional feminist lens; exposing deep truths and creating a community feeling. We are interested in being programmed at SALT Festival to share our project, and work towards building a network in new communities in the Yorke and Eyre Peninsula regions, as part of a community tour. We hope for this to be the beginning of our work as a company touring and building networks, collaborating with artists outside of our usual circles.
